The next step into your Reiki journey, like taking any step, you must have learnt how to walk first! Not a process to be rushed into! Your Reiki teacher does not teach you Reiki, Reiki teaches you Reiki, How? Through time......
The longer you take in savoring Reiki One the more integration you will have had. As a textbook guideline I would leave at least six months between Reiki One and Two, but Reiki is an organic energy of it’s own and although we think we make the decisions about where and when it really is a case here of when the student is ready the teacher appears....

Reiki Master Degree Course Details
Lets get one thing straight here...this is not the destination! It is just another step along the way, your destination is where you are each and every moment. There are more destinations, they are infinite both in Reiki training and what Reiki shows you in your own path. Undertaking Reiki Master’s will not make you an instant master. It will provide you with the opportunity to become a master of the self, (he who knows others is wise, he who knows himself is enlightened). It will not do the work for you but it will provide you with all you need for the journey.... I can only speak for my journey with Reiki Master’s and the journey has been fraught with deep crevices and steep mountains, it has been the journey of the Hermit. But that is the only journey for true enlightenment. I am on this journey every day of my life, it penetrates deeper and deeper and the learning continues, it is the journey of responsibility (ability to respond). Reiki Master Degree gave me a mirror of complete truth and said “face it” and the transformation that has been occurring ever since is awe inspiring......

Reiki Masters is something that deserves a lot of thought before embarking, why do you want to do it? Does it feel right? Some people take it just for their own path, it doesn’t have to be about teaching others. It is a big step, and as a textbook guideline, I would advise you not to take it any earlier than two years after Reiki First Degree. It took me five years, I was just enjoying where I was at with Reiki, with no intention of progressing with any stage, then all of a sudden I would be shifted onwards as if Reiki knew the right time for me. Subsequently I have attuned one person to Masters only a year after Reiki One because it was clear both logically and intuitively that it was the right time for her...... However I cannot stress enough the importance of resting where you are at with Reiki and letting yourself be guided instead of always aiming for the next level.
